Walls of Fame
Here’s something for the avid collector, or even the ambitious parents of sports-playing kids. The Ultra Mount Jersey Display System, (www.ultramountdisplays.com), is an easy and affordable way to display souvenir jerseys. Instead of shelling out hundreds of dollars for a glass case, hang your Joe Montana, Cal Ripkin or Michael Jordan jersey on the wall with an Ultra Mount. It installs in minutes, looks professional and, at only around $30, leaves you plenty of cash to bid on that Gretzky sweater your wife said you couldn’t afford.
Made of lightweight aluminum, the hanger is attractive and, for those with children in the house, much safer than glass cases. You may even consider adorning the kids’ rooms with sports uniforms they’ve worn for a unique and interesting decorating twist.
So now there’s no excuse not to turn your den into a replica of your favorite college sports bar. And since that’s where you probably proposed to your wife during halftime of the big game, she might even think of you as more a sentimental romantic than a rabid fan.

How to create a sports theme room for the kids
Participation in sports can build character... Studies have even found... Create a sports-themed room. Normally I avoid this type of decorating, but if it’s for your children, it can be fun and create lasting memories. Start by finding out their favorite team. If they’re into college sports, visit gameday murals.com. There you will find an array... Another idea is to buy bedding from (for pro teams, try NFL.com...) or buy a jersey of your kid’s favorite player and hang it in his room using a new display hanger called the Ultra Mount (ultramountdisplays.com). |

Business Extra
Jon Wilmot’s wife gave him a replica Walter Payton jersey. Wilmot wanted to frame it but was discouraged when he found out that it would cost $200 to $500. So Wilmot, whose day job is in insurance designed his own jersey mounting system. The Ultra Mount Jersey Display Hanger consists of a wall mount, the mounting hardware and an aluminum rod that is custom-fit to the jersey’s shoulder width. There is no glass case, “so I can take down my jersey, wear it to a Chicago game, then wash it and hang it up again.” Wilmot said. The system is especially popular with people who have multiple pro jerseys and also among parents who want to hang up the jerseys their kids wore in their sports leagues. |

Ultra Mount Redefines Hangtime
Jersey Display System Attaining Wall-Star Status
March 20, 2007
For the sports jersey collector, the only display limitations are wall space, creativity and, of course, wallet thickness. Ah, the old budget. As any memorabilia hound can tell you, a professionally made shadow box runs hundreds of dollars—and even a low-end, do-it-yourself jersey frame can cost $100 or more. Insurance executive Jon Wilmot encountered these obstacles for his own collection a few years back. Instead of showing fewer jerseys, he actually did something about it. He invented the Ultra Mount.
The Ultra Mount is a sharp-looking, elegantly simple and eminently affordable alternative to traditional display cases. It enabled Wilmot to devote more dollars to new acquisitions and fewer to showing his stuff.
The Ultra Mount is an aluminum hanger made to display sports jerseys on virtually any type of wall, including flat, slat and grid walls. It can be adjusted to custom-fit the width of any jersey for any sport, and retails for $29.99.
“The options for displaying jerseys used to be an expensive frame, a hanger in the closet, or tacks on the wall,” says Wilmot, who recalls that he had to pass up some great signed jerseys because what frames added to the total purchase price.
“I also had a framer tell me that, even in an expensive shadow box, the integrity of the jersey is often compromised.”
The Ultra Mount opens up some interesting possibilities for collectors, points out Wilmot, because now they can display more than ten jerseys for the price of one shadow box. For example, it enables customers to change jerseys with the seasons.
“Your customers will understand the versatility of this product as soon as they see it,” he says.
Ultra Mount comes with mounting hardware. The company also offers product for in store retail and drop-shipping for companies specializing in online sales. |
